Picked up a 2.2 VTi manual last week for a very reasonable £1100.
The good points so far are, 123k, working 4ws, Motegi kit, JDM foglights albeit not connected to anything, remarkably clean body, Koni coilovers, silicone rad pipes and a pair of strut braces that came with the car.

Not so good are the aftermarket angel eye headlights, the rocker cover gasket looks to be weeping and it needs the balljoints replacing.

The AC has been removed and the battery relocated to the boot as the previous owner was planning to track it but decided against it.

Plans for the future will be some form of brake upgrade to the front as the pads and discs are good enough to use day to day but look like they'll be needing replacing soon, i'm hoping civic or accord type R brakes are an easy enough conversion. I saw one at Japfest with Accord type R brakes. Sorting out the rocker cover and sprucing the suspension up with a few uprated bushes.

Heres a couple of pics, cheers!

wlecome to LG :)
Looks to be a good buy and they are good cars to work on imo so great for any enthusiast who can wield a spanner or two ;)
ATR twin pot calipers and carriers and 300mm discs on the front is a common upgrade - most leave the back brakes alone as oem is good enough

Thank you.

I'm based in Newport South Wales.

Ahhh yes I saw that one. It looked very nice in white, very nice indeed! I had to take a few pictures of the cars on your stand and truth be told thats what lead me to sign up.

Are your foglights wired in?

Thanks for the info! It seems like a good find, I had a 2.0 mkV before this one that was rust free but didnt have a straight panel on it and completely stripped out, the purity of the double wishbone set up is unlike anything else and got under my skin. I've done similar conversions before on other cars using OE parts to get a bigger set up. Is it the availabily of ATR stuff or the fitment that makes them a good conversion?

Probably both :) I think initially it was due to the fact you could get them from breakers for just a few quid, they have gone up in price as availability has dropped. The other not so popular conversion was using legend calipers
Just make sure you get the caliper carriers off the ATR so can use bigger discs but you can use ATR twinpots with prelude carriers and retain the prelude discs.
Any seriously big brake upgrades normally cost well over a grand
