4th gen jdm prelude

Post by Paul110586 » Sat Apr 11, 2020 3:23 am

Hi all, I recently acquired a jdm 2.2 prelude.
The abs light and engine light are on.
Abs comes on after the cars been moving.
I’m sure there’s a thread on here but I can’t see one so just thought I’d ask for help/advice

Regards

Paul

welcome to LG :)
lots of abs threads on here but sure there is a reset procedure - newkid or the mods could help you with that
common problems with abs is dry solder joints in the 4ws ecu in the boot, corroded or dirty sensors at the wheel or on the abs ring on the front driveshafts. not sure what the engine code is normally you get an abs and 4ws error at the same time .. :?
what you need to do first is pull the codes from the ecu. all you need is small section of wire or a paperclip.
i will see if i can find a post on this and you can do a search for paperclip ;)

edit: here is link for pulling the codes on a 4th gen.
