Hi all,

Thought I'd sign up here as I bought a gen 5 Prelude, somehow, nine months ago as a replacement for my Volvo when the PCP ended on that. I got bored of paying for cars that were never actually mine and wanted something fun to drive that I could mess around with, to an extent, and enjoy rather than be paranoid about. Never actually considered a Prelude in the past, but I started working for Honda UK about 18 months ago and getting to play with the press fleet every day I have been won over by them...randomly the search came down between this and a Legend of all things. Bit of searching and came across this on Car and Classic - 80k miles, belts done less than 1k ago, fsh, full motegi kit including badge (well, most of it - looks like someone's tried nicking it at some point and I've been left with 3/4's of a badge...) and a nigh on mint interior.

In the time I've had it, I've added a Cat 1 alarm and the guys in the workshop at work undersealed it for me when I picked it up...and that's about it. But being on lockdown has left me with a lot of spare time so managed to clay, polish, wax and seal the thing last weekend. I was using it every day to begin with, but trying to squeeze a growing labradoodle in the back of it was getting harder, so I bought a Civic Aerodeck VTI-S that's sucked a lot of time away from this. That's as tidy as it's going to get as a daily so I'm back on the Prelude now and, having recently sold my Impreza Type-R, I finally have cash to sink in to this now as well - with not needing to use it every day, I'm still tempted to whack a set of TE37's on it and lower it, but the other half of me wants to keep it stock. Either way, I have a list of niggles and minor gripes I want to work through first, worst of which is the minor bubbling on the rear arch(es)...

But that's me, and my car. Will start a proper thread for it when I finally pull my finger out and start buying parts or doing bits to it!

Cheers,

John

Welcome along

It looks really nice in the pics

Arches you will need to have the bad metal cut out and new metal welded in, you can buy replacement arches which might be useful if they are really far gone.
