Hi! My name is William and I'm form the Netherlands!

I've loved the prelude 4th gen ever since I was 15. I've had my first prelude (2.0) in 2008 and bought an 2.2 vtec with 4ws in 2010. The 2.2 has been in storage for 7 years now and recently started to renovate the car. It has rust all over the place ofcourse and it will get a completely renovated H22a engine.

My car is overall stock except for a few mods
* AC retrofitted
* EDM EL Cluster retrofitted
* JDM Climate control retrofitted

My reason for signing up here is to gain and share knownledge and look at the classifieds section 8)

Regards,
William

My Prelude after 7years in storage.

Thanks for the kind replies! :)

The metal and paint work is something I won't do myself, I'm quite good with electronics but with bodywork; I do know how to damage it :lol:

Yup, it's a good colour :) the bordeux red (colour of my first prelude) is also nice in my opinion! Cars these days are too often just white, gray, brown and black :yawn:

I'm trying to restore it in a near mint condition and as stock as possible however I will do some mods to make it work with modern technology. I'm planning to do something very cool when I my hands on an OEM radio/cassette+cd player but it seems it's not an easy part to come by nowadays.

Some updates:

My Prelude runs again!

The body work is finished and the new engine is installed. Went to tuner to get my p28 with neptune tuned for my new engine. It runs great :)

I sourced an OEM radio/cassette+cd-player from an Irish bloke in the US. It turned out that the outputstage for the frontspeakers was dead. I replaced the output stages and the radio now plays perfectly :) Next I will be replacing the backlight bulbs, getting the right bulbs here is the hard part actually. The radio will be connected to an ESX QE80.8 amp and I will start building my bluetooth box soon. Now I still need the "VTEC rear subwoofer" assembly and cover for my audio setup. If you have one, I would love to buy it from you :)

For the bluetooth box I need to investigate the two extra pins that tell the radio that a indash cd player is connected. It's something Alpine designed and there is no documentation ofcourse but it looks this might be a very simple interface, much less complicated than MBus that is used to "talk" to the cd changer.
