its worth checking the selector cables that attach to the top of the gearbox, could have come loose - ive known this to happen on a 5g on here. it may not be gearbox oil your seeing and just the usual honda oil leak from the block somewhere

You sure it's gearbox oil dripping and not from the engine oil cooler? There's an O-Ring there that goes hard with age and needs to be changed.
Cheap and not difficult to replace.
It can drip onto the drive shaft/sub-frame, so might look like a gearbox leak.

cheers for the advice guys.but this is definately gearbox oil.can smell it.should be taking the offside front whhel off soon to check a bit more

Doesn't sound very healthy - assuming the casting itself hasn't fractured (perhaps no dowels or not correctly installed), or been ground into by the diff, the only way oil could escape is through a driveshaft opening. If the drive shaft has managed to pop out of its own accord then that's bad news.

Let us know what you find - would be surprising to see a shaft pop out. Last time I had that happen in a rover 620ti turned out the diff decided to crap itself, due to running with low oil (because the wrong diff seals were fitted so the inner cv snap ring did not engage it into the diff securely)

i checked it out yesterday.but only have a simple jack with no axle stands.The cv going into the gearbox has about 3mm untill flush.so dont think its that.the oil is travelling along the gear box support bracket.i cant see enough to check properly...its weird because it still drives.im not using it by the way.just saying i had to limp her home about 5miles like it....scott 620ti.forgotten hero.....anyhow i took the plunge and bought a u2q7 type r box.ouch my wallet

i also treated her to genuine rocker gasket,dizzy o ring,camshaft end cap and a vtec solinoid gasket.leaks everywhere lol.
it will be a while untill its all fitted but will be interesting to see what has happened to the m2b4.i will research what parts are needed for the swop.cheers for the info guys.the support here is amazing

straight swap apart from the vss you have to mate from the atr and lude type into a frankentype lol guide from Vtecmec here;

i have a few questions for you guys...i want to put a cambelt kit on.figured it is very needed.motor factors and even Honda dont recognise my car.Has anyone got a part number etc.Also im putting in a new clutch kit.ATR or prelude.box is u2q7.

I believe all H22 timing belt parts are the same.
