Hi all new to prelude game owned mine since March 2021 started a G22 build on it in the summer and was wondering if anyone here has done one and could give me a proba parts list and some clear instructions. I’ve found some stuff on older forum online but nothing clear.
My prelude currently is running the F22b non vtec engine and I have thd h22a head . So far I’ve fully rebuilt the PGM-Fi with skunk 2 70mm Throttlebody and new h22 injection and waiting for AEM fuel rail to come then I’ll be moving onto the h22a head this is the list of parts I have found to do the build can anyone cofirm it’s correct
K20a pistons
H22a ecu p13
Stainless steel bolts for oil drain plug
H22 water pump
K20 piston rings
F22b bottom
H22a head
H22a head gasket
H22a gaskets set
H22a timing belt
H22a head studs
K20 pistons rings
Many thanks for anyone that can help me

Hi and welcome.
I've not seen a k20 piston used in a f22 block before, I thought the k20 piston were 86mm and the f22 block 87mm, or have I gotten something mixed up somewhere?
This guy has k20 pistons in an overbored f20 block.

No need, I am here
Your block is 85mm bore and 95mm stroke, while K20a pistons are 86.5-87.00 mm. That is a lot of overbore, I wouldn't trust it but if you decide to go with it, I see no other problems in your list.
Few things to take note of:
You wil have to weld some material to the head to fit on the f block, you will know what I mean once you put H22 gasket on the block for measure. This should be done by a reputable shop.
You will also have to add an external VTEC oil feed line since your block doesn't have one integrated.
p13 ecu is tuned for 10.6:1 compression ratio, and you will have 11:02:1 with your setup. I would do a custom tune witn Hondata/Neptune if I was you.

That’s brilliant thanks u to for this
So u would recommend leaving the f22b pistons and rings if in good condition in
And anyone seen any p13 ecu for sale in the uk unfortunately I don’t have one and I am having problems finding one

Well no, f22b has 8.8:1 compression ratio which is very low for naturally aspirated engine. If you want to go low boost turbo then yes, leave stock pistons. If you want to gain any power as NA, you absolutely must use different pistons, be it custom ones or from some other car. You want 85mm bore with 30 to 30.5mm compression height and 22mm wrist pin. Dome should be sized to get you berween 10-11:1 compression ratio. Please ditch the p13 idea, that is just a dodgy low budget option. With a build like that you must use a custom tune with chipped OBD1 ecu or a standalone system.

Why not just use a H22? What are the benefits to a build like this?

Tbf just wanted to do something different but it’s seeming like there a lot more to it then I thought
I’ve got a h22a top end would I be able to use any kinda h22 bottom end with that top end ?
