Lude Generation

Hello Every one!

I am newbee here and also new to my lovely 5th Gen prelude.

Hope I will learn a lot here with your help!!!

Today I had to call the breakdown services for
1. some thumping noise from engine
2. front pessanger roter getting too hot

The guy was very helpful.
He mentioned that it may be one of engine mounts (rear mount) since the noise only comes when It's driving slow and foot comes off the accelerator. The caliper needs to be checked. Also he mentioned that check out the suspnesion bushes, may be time to change the timing belt/fanbelt because it makes squeaking noise.

Now the local mechanics are all cow boys and Honda will be too expensive.

Can someone recommend any prelude specialists in London area please?

Im in London too (Wembley area).

I had few problems with the Prelude as well, but I'm driving the car to Performance Autoworks who specialise in Honda and are good with Preludes. I'm getting a full service including timing belt done.

You can post up on 'wanted' section and someone will have engine mounts they can sell you.

welcome in bud i would get a trusted mech to check it over the noise could be caused by anything a grabbing caliper could do that
