Hi everyone, nice to meet you guys.
I own a 93 JDM BB1 2.2Vtec 4ws manual stock. Had to replace the engine previously after a failed combination with the high compression pistons many years ago. Its running fine now.
Im trying to sort out the 4ws problem, hope you guys could help me out.
Thanks.

Welcome to LG
You should get some photos of your Prelude
4ws common issues:
Dry solder joints (x4) in ecu
Wheel sensor failure - also can be caused by mud or dirt covering the sensor at the wheel or worn dirty abs rings on the hub
Does the ABS light come on?
Have you tried the paperclip reset procedure?

I have got code 21 from 4ws intermittent.
Dry solder joints has been resolved previously.
Since then i have replace rear main steering angle sensor and 4ws control unit but still the same.
So i decided to do the electronic neutral check for the rear sensors according to service manual.
Fabricated the center lock pin according to the drawings and inserted into the motor.
But I was unable to turn the rear wheel by hand as the car was lifted up in inspection mode.
No error code was present prior to the test.
Now I'm not sure why I can't turn the rear wheel by hand according to the service manual.

Do you mean turn the rear wheel (toe) in and out or do you mean rotate it?

I'm sorry lost all pics of the car after my hard disk crash. After the repairs are sorted out more to come.
This is the only one I have now.

From what i know there are springs in the 4ws rack that hold the wheels in place so that might explain that and if you have a locking pin in place then that would also prevent you from toeing in and out

What you say is correct. That's why I don't understand that procedure.
Anyway we can still replace the rear sub angle sensor and calibrate without having to toe in/out by hand.
