Hi
New member here looking at getting a Prelude Motegi edition, what is there to look out for etc?
How "quick" does the car feel

Motegi is no quicker than any other 5G, it's just optional parts.
As for how quick does the car feel, compared to what?
Between Preludes it all depends. Manual, auto, UKDM, JDM.

Welcome aboard.
UKDM VTI's:
1997 to 1998 models are 185bhp
1999+ are 197bhp
As said, the motegi kit is an optional extra. If you're after a UKDM one...a 1999+ is the one to go for.
JDM models:
Sir - 197bhp
Type S (rare) 217bhp
S Spec (Mega rare) 217bhp.
Don't bother getting an auto/triptronic unless for whatever reason you can't drive a manual. They are prone to breaking and are obviously slower.
Other things to look out for:
Rust on rear arches, around windscreen and sunroof.
5th gear crunch.
Preludes are very capable cars and suprise many cars, handling is superb. Best bet is to get out there and drive a few.
If your budget allows...go for a Prelude Type S

^ in addition to that very complete post:
All UK 2.2 99+ are 4WS (I think).
Didn't all the JDM models come with LSD?
