Hi all
I've been lurking for a short while, but thought it was time to say hello.
"Hello"
There, done it...
A few weeks ago I bought HondaNSX's 4 gen BB4 as a birthday pressie to myself http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/post89088.html#p89088
A pleasant transaction from a genuine trade seller. I've been back to see Paul to have the exhaust tweaked and would recommend him for tyres or used cars. Nice bloke and a real Honda enthusiast.
Since then i've only done a few miles on weekends but have begun pottering in the 'man cave' to get her up to scratch cosmetically. The arches are generally fine bar a little surface bubbling, but I took one sill protector off yesterday and the rot there has well and truly taken hold towards the rear, so I spent the day killing that off and sealing it, ready for filling...only to find someone had half-inched the hardener out of the filler kit I bought the previous day. Charming.
Must admit its good to be back in a Honda. I have a diesel company car with 218bhp/332ft lbs which goes like stink, but the engine is rough as a badgers behind. So the Prelude is for weekends only and so far i'm loving it. I plan to keep it pretty unmolested but do think she's a bit down on throttle response, so might look into a few things to resolve that. I might end up chasing my tail but my previous BB4 (owned for 8 months 5 years ago and sold to a guy in Wales whom I think might be on this forum...hang on...i've just checked and there's a 99 page build thread on my old car!!!) seemed a bit perkier, but that might just be age taking its toll.
Anyway, am off to read Nathan's build thread on 'ELB'. I'm glad Marc sent her to a good home.
Cheers
