Hi all, new Lude owner from Bedfordshire. Never owned a Lude before and enjoying getting to know the intricacies of this fine Japanese 90s Jap car. Sorted some issues that she had when I purchased her and now have the set up to tackle on the 4WS.

Does anyone know if there are any Lude specialists in the south and east who are able to tackle specific Lude issues?

Hi, and welcome to Lude Generation.

Congratulations on buying a Prelude. Getting rarer on the road each day.

Go to place for me is always Hond R, based in Carterton Oxfordshire. All the knowledge and skills there for any 90’s Honda.

Welcome to LG :)
Performance Autoworks is another company you could take your lude to - not sure how close to you tho
http://www.performance-autoworks.co.uk/contact.php

You could get some pics up and start a lude profile so you can keep a history of the car.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and the shop recommendations, great to know of places that know how to deal with the car.

I picked up my 4th Gen a few weeks back for use my daily runner, she has a few minor dings and scratches but nothing major, will be stuff I slowly resolve. For now I just want to get her mechanically sorted. My first job was sorting the ABS light out and that was a strip down and clean of the ABS pump which resolved that issue. Next will be to diagnose the 4WS issue.

Hi and welcome, how long did it take to do this job and was it difficult.
Many thanks

Cheers @toadster what alloys you got, they look good on the one in your sig. I am after another set of alloys so any recommendations welcome.

@Hagland-BB4 i original tried to take out the whole module and pump in one hit but it’s not possible and wasted a fair amount of time in doing so. But it would still take a few hours for the total job, including bleeding it and the lines afterwards. The most frustrating part was getting the brake lines back in afterwards, the flare nuts were really difficult to get them biting on the threads.

Welcome to the forum.

Im not sure if the 4th gen lude 4ws system is the same as the 5th gen.

The 5th gen light can come on when the battery gets a bit flat, or if the rear mechanism starts to get a bit stiff. There is a reset procedure you can do without any special tools, and some flash codes you can read off from the dash light. All you need is a paper clip if its the same as the 5th gen.

You will find plenty of posts on here where the procedure is listed (i suspect its the same for 4th gen)

Lo Blue-Rider :D
My Alloys were made by a company called Fuel.
I don't believe they are available anymore :(
I bought them back in 2008/2009.
Fuel only make 4x4 Alloys now.
Cheers ;)
