Hi peeps. The names Sam and I am a new owner of a 5th gen prelude motegi 2.2 vtec. All I can say is......I like! I had an RX8 previously and had many problems with the car (as everyone knows). So im now driving this awesome machine. Its Very basic at the moment, but this will be changing. Has anybody got any tips ect, as I don't know that much about the prelude before I bought it.

Cheers everyone! :D

Thanks mate. I hope so, its a 1999 model. Going through some pics and there seems to be quite a bit I can do. first things first is the engine bay I think. Finding somewhere to re-coat the valve covers is a must I think.

Good choice going for a 99+ model as it has more power than the 97-98 VTI's. I'm assuming yours is a manual?

Get some pics up :D

Not sure what's dirtier, the sound of VTEC or my neighbour getting slammed at 1:30am on a Monday morning

Welcome along.

unfortunately its not, one thing I would like it to be is manual but I have the auto tiptronic. But I did have a convo with someone yesterday about converting it. I will get some pics up as soon as I can, just so people can awe at its standardness! @ Donald, I don't think I could handle a girl who is as dirty as a VTEC

When you get to a certain speed the pressure from the lubrication forces the shaft to change and she opens up more and starts to scream :|

Welcome in. Good choice :)

(I'm so sorry)
