Hi all,

Was gonna start this thread/introduction on PUK as it seemed to be the busiest Prelude hub I could find, however, it seems everybody is moving on over this way. Anyway, here goes...

I bought my 5th Gen last April after my car died. I have always liked the idea of having some VTEC because a buddy of mine had an old CRX when we were younger which I always wanted. I was looking for a cheap run around when I saw a Prelude on a second hand car forecourt. Upon closer inspection, I pretty much fell in love with it. So after doing some more research on them and seeing a couple that were a bit above my price range, I came across this one on Autotrader.

After a quick 2.5 hour drive up there with a mate in a work van, I gave the man some money and headed home.

So with a smile on my face and a 90 minute journey home, I was the proud new owner of a '98 Prelude with 88,000 miles, a lot of service history and lovely custom rust spots and wrecked alloys.

Here are some pics of how she looked when I got her. (Never uploaded pics before, so don't know if this is going to work.)

I would love to explain why I look like a massive boob in this one...I can't.

I have bought a few bits for her so far.

I bought some EP3 satin black alloys from someone on e-bay and and a Motegi Kit from somebody on Gum Tree. She goes in tomorrow to have the rust sorted and to have the kit sprayed and fitted.

Here is a pic of the wheels, sorry for the quality, e-bay pic...

Once I get the photo's onto my PC, I will upload photos of what the kit looks like now before it is sprayed.

The first thing I did was have the engine bay steam cleaned.

£15 well spent!

So far I have fitted a cheap £20 short shift adapter from e-bay and an AEM V2 I got from the one and only human posting machine Nitin.

With some luck and a whole lot of advice from you guys, I should be able to do more than check my oil/water and change a flat. Anyway, that's it for now, I'll be posting more once I have some updates.
