Would it not be possible to (forgetting about the 4WS) to move the CC wiring to two buttons elsewhere? So instead of wiring through the steering wheel they go to two push buttons in a hidden position you can just press? I mean it's not like you have to use them often, it's just a case of "press to set speed" really, I never use the other button!

You could do it using a sunroof switch maybe? Mount it by the sunroof switch itself.

Yeah something like that I was thinking. But I do like the OEM steering wheel  Even though it's massive.

Thanks for all your info, very much appreciated, and indeed +reppage! 8-)
No worries bud, just a copy and paste job. :D

The others are right though, it would be easier to reroute to a switch/es elsewhere. Mine was simply to make use of the cruise control function of the steering wheel I'd bought.

The same principle of the wiring loom mod will apply but just run them elsewhere. As Phil says it's a little head scratcher but no mensa membership required.

Cheers,

Rob

So if I was to get one and put something like a mono corse on, what are the mot implications having removed an airbag?
