Can it be done?
I'm keen to lose the door cards out of my track car with the next stage of lightening. Looking to replace with a suitable fibreglass or c/f panel
As such I want to lose the leckie window regulators at the same time & go to a manual setup.
Car is only used on trackdays but looking to retain road legality
Any help appreciated
Chris

perspex with a slider kit ?
this is the type we have on the S2000 escort
or perspex but with a separate quarter light fitted and slide the other bit of perspex you now have squared off up and down manually like we have on the black escort ?
the little screw you can see is holding a aluminium pip/handle on inside that you just grab to slide up and down.
the windows in the white escort i just cut out and made myself from perspex sheet or if you wanted to make the type in the black escort you just need to fix a channel in for it to slide in from something with a quarter light, an escort ?

remove the old winder mechanism, cut a length of seat belt and fix to the bottom of the window bottom run it up the inside of the door and then down the door inside the car. two or 3 holes in the webbing and a hook allows full and part opening to suit. Dodge hemis had them along with 1940's trains a search for pictures of these will give you the idea....

Pretty much needs to be as simple as the two above are saying. To answer your question there is no off the shelf option to utilise a manual winder, without some custom fettling of the existing gearing from the electric regulator. As your gutting it the above seems best for weight saving anyway. If you wanted to line the doors with something then you'll have to get a little more inventive how you add some pull tabs, but simple enough.

No. The handles you might have recalled were for opening the door lock with the locking bar attached. I have a pic somewhere.
