5th Gen seat upgrade

Post by nick_s » Sun Apr 20, 2014 9:58 pm

Following a similar thread mentioning ATR rear seats fitting in the arse end of the 5th gen, what front seats (with tilt) fit without too much agro into a 5th gen? I fancy something with a bit more grip shall we say.

Any seats can be made to fit with a bit of welding/fabrication on the rails. I had an Evo 6 seat in my 5G. It was from a 5dr car so didn't have the reclining function but I didn't want access to the rears so I got it fitted anyways.

I like the Atr seats too but they don't have easy recline level. Only a wheel to turn everytime you want to get in the back which will take forever in an emergancy.

You can get some DC2 Recaros (or seats from any 3dr/coupe shapes) that has that lever for easy reclining.

Or if you want the best oem look then get s2000 seats. They will fit in to your exisiting seat pan things. :)

Cheers ears :)

Next thing to ponder is how easy/hard it would be to retrofit the heating elements into the new seats...

Yer I have s2k seats are they are fantastic. You get get them to sit lower if you use the s2000 pans instead of the preludes. I didn't bother using prelude pans.

I find the Prelude pans really low. Even at their highest setting :( so imagine me in the S2k seats :O

Same on the S2000s but they go lower all the way to the floor. My pans are now on the floor with maybe a pinky finger gap.
