How to replace seat belt buckle

Post by Wayne2014 » Sat Nov 01, 2014 12:40 pm

Hi

Can the front seat belt buckle (female) be replaced easily?

How do u remove a salvaged one, then replace the existing one with salvaged one?

Undo the fixing I would assume.

Refitting another would very obviously be the reverse process.

Just make sure nothing goes bang when you're doing it.

Most just have one bolt holding the buckle to the frame of the seat. Probably need to take the seat out the car for access.

Right

Had a look and the small circle recess bottom-left of the seat belt buckle:

Sliding the seat or removing the handbrake surround is no good. Seat needs to come out it seems!

Next - anyone know the steps to remove the seat?

Thanks!

Do you have a spare female belt buckle to replace the broken one with?
