Dash is easy on a 5th Gen.
Disconnect the battery
Pry out the radio surround and side vents. Remove the glove box. You will see all the bolts. Full and coin trays out. Pry out the centre vents and unplug the clock etc. remove radio.
Unscrew the dials. Again you will see all the screws and unplug the few plugs on the dials and pull out.
Lower the steering column. (2 large screws under the dash holding the column. No need to remove the wheel. Remove the column/wheel trim.
Disconnect the passenger airbag and plug it into the yellow safety plug. And unbolt the airbag.
Unplug the dash wiring harness you will have to follow it around the dash and unplug as you find it including into the fuse box. and unclip from the dash.
Finally uncrew the several dash bolts including the side ones when the doors open. You will spot them all.
Pull out dash slowly. It comes out easily so it it doesn't you have missed a bolt.

It took me about 1hours to pull out at 1st. 2nd time i had the black dash out and the red one in within 30mins.

If you weren't on the isle of black id help.
