Flocked Steering Wheel

Post by bb1boy » Mon Apr 30, 2012 10:07 am

Morning! Some of you may remember I had an awful faded red steering wheel, that I painted with matt-black spray paint, which was fine, until I scratched it ..so I flocked it! The picture doesn't do it justice though..

Longevity is as yet untested on a steering wheel, but it should fare reasonably well though as the resin it's set in goes off like concrete, and it does feel good to hold.. and yes, can flock any wheel, any colour.

hmm, interesting point.. I reckon a blade could be run around the edge of the SRS panel before the resin has completely gone off, there would be in invisible seam then.
