been down this route with my soarer had carpet and soundproofing out for like 12 months , mine turned out to be the plastic membranes on the doors in the end even though they looked ok after pretty much ruling out most other things i replaced them and no more leaks , all i did was brought some plastic sheeting used my old membranes as a template then fixed them into place with the stuff thats used to seam seal the likes of car body panels but its not in a tube its on a roll and it never goes off so if needed you can remove the plastic then restick it , my poor little brain cant remember what its called :?

just an update as it migth be usefull to others - i saw that the bottom of the speaker fabric cover was wet so had a look and found another area that had been leaking - this time it was at the passenger wing mirror - water was getting past the foam seal which has almost completely perished and running down the inside of the door frame and the inside of the door card. the membrane seal on the door card had also come away at certain points. so wing mirror sealed and membrane also sealed.
at times i feel like i have practically rebuilt this car many times over

My garage(who we discussed the other night) ripped mine out of the Soarer. His fix was to dril some holes in the drivers footwell to let the water out!!!!!!!!!! Sheeting replaced and fixed with Gaffer Tape and no more leaks

still chuckling about that. i had an instant image of the time they shot holes in the bottom of the top gear cars to let the river out...

 I’m just driving it with no carpet and rags stuffed around the bottom of the ecu until I get chance to look for the leak.

However maz at Hond-R is a legend, he suggested covering everywhere in the vicinity of the leak in a puff of baby powder. Then when it rains the water trail will leave witness marks in the powder.

maybe also take the door card off - thats how i spotted/traced the leak from the wing mirror :)
