4G Steering Wheel Questions

Post by uberNoobZA » Sun Oct 14, 2018 10:35 am

Hi

Two Questions -

1 - How do I swap the steering wheel on a 4G with an aftermarket one, without having the SRS light come up when I reconnect the battery ? I seem to remember something about using a resistor to fool the car into thinking airbag is still there? If so, what size resistor, and how do I connect it ?

2 - If it possible to get a 5G steering wheel to fit on a 4G, WITH working airbag and cruise control ? If not, then will it work WITHOUT airbag, but WITH cruise control ?

Thanks in advance :-)

Disconnect the battery, remove air bag and wheel, refit new wheel and air bag, reconnect battery.

LOL yeah I know that bit. The original question 1 was how to replace steering wheel with aftermarket one, without airbag, and without SRS light coming on.
