Flare?

So what's the deal with JDM flare? My Type S has a bracket down in the passenger footwell, I assume this is what it's for?

Can you still get hold of them? Or am I best off buying some kind of replica? What have others done?

Thanks
Mike

I have the LED version. It’s the same size and fits right in the bracket. Actual flare you can use only once but the led one you can use over and over again plus it’s safer.

I have an original one. Not sure if it's safe, as has an expiry date of 2017.

My daughter bought a 2004 Stepwgn, last year, as a fresh import, and still had the flare in the bracket.

I said I would look after it for safety, as she has a couple of young children. Does look cool in the footwell.

theres usually a few on ebay

bare in mind there are two types, basically fat ones and thin ones but the bracket will only take one or the other

Thanks all. I have ordered a led one as I think it will be safer lol. I am just sad and think it will look cool to have something in the holder
