Wee plastic clip gubbin

Post by Lovedoctor » Tue Jul 24, 2012 3:25 pm

Its driving me crazy!!!!

The wee plastic gubbin thing that houses the two metal rods for the boot hold has snappedwhen I tried to fit my bike in  and no longer keeps them in place. The vibration of the rods off one another and other metals in the boot while driving is awful? Anyone got one spare of know where I could get another or how to make something similar?
Its a P.I.T.A!
Cheers

The clip that holds the two bars together? You can get a new one from Honda for £2.72, part number 74873-S30-013.

It it comes off, you need to jemmy the torsion bars back into the hinges fully.

It took me ages to figure out why mine kept falling off and it's a bit of an art to twist it into the parcel shelf with the TBs in the right way round.

The TBs drift out gradually over time.
