Air con gas type

Post by Gayno » Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:28 am

What gas does the 4th gen take?

There's a Groupon for a refill at a garage by me for 21 quid. Says It's valid for R134A only, not R12. Also says valid for cars registered after 1996, where mine is a 1996!

Don't want to buy if I can't use it!

There should be a sticker under the bonnet that says what type to use.
By the radiator top up bottle if memory serves. :?

Mine is a '94 and they tested it when they did it, came back as the old style gas, R12? so they have to use a modern equivalent.

Maybe that was the changeover year? Unless it has something to do with JDM and UKDM? :?
