Thinking of buying a harness bar for the lude . Possibly this one .

Then i was thinking maybe i could weld a bar in . not totally sure where it should be mounted though.
has anyone does this already or no where i could weld one in.

I think the harness bars are dangerous mate, they just bend in a crash and your harness will lose all tension.
I'll be looking at welding one into a 5th gen soon so let me know what you find

Seen a few pictures of bent ones of those
And I hate Twatiwa, so I'll always advise against buying direct from them
I'm surprised you're not wanting to simply save up for a weld-in cage bud

well i think ill be steering clear of the bolt in harness bars then. doesn't sound to good them bending.
i will be getting a roll cage , this was more of a temporary thing until i got one.
mite just leave it for now until i get a cage .
cheers for the info guys.

Wise choice

That Tegiwa bar looks very Heath-Robinson to me...
I'd personally go with a solid bolted/welded bar between the struts on a track car. I believe this was the setup Rich @ PAW used when his car was more road-biased than its current incarnation

I'm on my phone but can some get me the pics from PAW's strut brace inside the car..l
Can you get a small bar (like a strut brace) bolted in place from one seat belt place to another. I want a strong firm bar there so I can clamp my camera there for some photos/videos.

That's maybe not a good idea mate, in a crash it could be crushed, snap and be a lethal weapon inside the car!
Suckers will hold a camera perfectly to the glass but some tracks like castle combe have banned these aswell.

Yes Pete, I only thought of that as some tracks have banned suction camera mounts.
