New baba so might need to have car seat in front passenger seat, any way to disable safely without complete removal.

If you remove the glovebox (open it, there's screws at the back in the bottom holding it in, then the glovebox lifts out) then you can get access to underneath the passenger airbag, there's a yellow connector there that you need to unplug, this will disable the airbag. It will probably throw the SRS light on the dash I imagine.

Yes it will throw the code and pop light on. But under the steering column on 5th gens is a yellow plug that you bridge in a sequence to reset the system when reconnectting the passenger bag.

Or you can whap a resistor in the yellow connector, and the system thinks everything is still great.

I think the airbag paul although disabling the baby could bring more money from the social all I am saying is don't dismiss it out of hand :lol:

Now now thats my wee angel your talkin about , who wont be dating till she is 40ish, wont be getting tattoos unlike her mother and sure as hell wont be drivin my car! By the way does being blonde count as a disability ;)
