Lude Generation

Anybody else noticed that the 5G handbrake is a truly awful looking device?

I mean the headlights take a lot of stick but the handbrake lever is undoubtedly the worst feature of the car. Even the faux wood trim isn't as bad

So, has anybody done anything to improve this?

Can the horrible plastic covering be removed?

I even decided that just applying some cheap tennis racket grip would be an improvement

Is the 4G one any better? Can it be transferred? (Great chance for some 4G gloating here lol)

Glad somebody else noticed this. Was hoping to find a decent handbrake cover replacement when I changed the gearknob and leather gaitor but the only ones I found actually looked worse, believe it or not! The variety some kids put in their Vauxhall Corsas...

Although i had forgotten about this with all the other things that are going on with the Lude!

it is the only bit of my interior that i am not happy with. Must be something available???

go to a car trimmer and get one made bespoke
