The original seals for a 5th gen rearlights aren't that expansive I belive, Cant you use one of those / modify them?B00mer wrote:Found my leak, its coming from the drivers side rear light. The foam i ordered has landed but its not up to scratch. Sourced some silicon foam but they wanted £70 for one square meter delivered
So im still on the hunt, for some decent foam

I was changing a bulb on my 2g the other day, turns out my lights are leaking too, water has pooled in the recesses of the back of the nearside clusterB00mer wrote:Found my leak, its coming from the drivers side rear light. Yesterday i placed a carrier bag on the boot carpet under the light with a jumbo drying towel on it press against the light itself.
This morning the towel is soaked through to the point where i picked it up and it was dripping AND there was water build up on the carrier bag, chuffin weather is doing my head in.
Glad i prepared lmao

Seems to have sorted my leak, i'm going to change the rest this weekend and see if this solves my condensation issue.
This is the stuff i used....

You would definitely get this cheaper i would of thought. But its basically that camping mat material which are probably £1.
But i found 5 - 6mm thickness to be ideal
