Found my leak, its coming from the drivers side rear light. The foam i ordered has landed but its not up to scratch. Sourced some silicon foam but they wanted £70 for one square meter delivered

So im still on the hunt, for some decent foam

The original seals for a 5th gen rearlights aren't that expansive I belive, Cant you use one of those / modify them?

I was changing a bulb on my 2g the other day, turns out my lights are leaking too, water has pooled in the recesses of the back of the nearside cluster :(

I'll have a look at those, see what the shapes like.

Yesterday i placed a carrier bag on the boot carpet under the light with a jumbo drying towel on it press against the light itself.

This morning the towel is soaked through to the point where i picked it up and it was dripping AND there was water build up on the carrier bag, chuffin weather is doing my head in.

Glad i prepared lmao :D

Ok after numerous rubbish foams failing, i have opted for what can only be described as a camping mat! Its about 5-6mm thick so time will tell in the morning :D

Fingers crossed

Dont want to jinx it but this morning and tonight = dry boot :o

I still appear to have condensation on the boot lid, but no soggy drying towel under the light inside

Seems to have sorted my leak, i'm going to change the rest this weekend and see if this solves my condensation issue.

This is the stuff i used....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300546826937? ... 1423.l2649

You would definitely get this cheaper i would of thought. But its basically that camping mat material which are probably £1.

But i found 5 - 6mm thickness to be ideal
