Deffo looks like browser issue. Most browsers will keep the same session on different tabs. I never use Chrome, so cannot offer a solution. I know there is an 'under the hood' section. Is there a cookies tab in there?

You can get books to help. I find keeping the oven at a slightly lower temperatue than specified helps if you're unsure.
