Yea the tourer diesel is a massive pain in the arse. It suffers from . . . . Dual mass flywheels failure, clutch failure, exhaust manifold failure, IMRC solenoid failure, ABS modulator failure, cam chain stretch/failure, injectors can leak past copper washer causing blow by, rear caliper seizure, drive shaft failure causing wobble under high load conditions. These are ALL problems we see on a regular basis with the diesel tourer. Now it's funny, because we don't see near half as much problems with the saloon as we do with the tourer. I've lost count of the amount of chains, clutches and flywheels I've done in the last 2 years. There is also a very small % of srs control unit failures! but not many. The main engine faults seem to be pretty standard with many of the N22 engines, but many of them have been repaired with updated parts by now :D

Now the petrol tourers are pretty good. Engine Is bullet proof, it uses a different abs modulator so no problems there. But they still suffer rear caliper problems but that's about it. Oh and all the toures can develop faults with the power tailgate. And when they go that jobby gets expensive :?

All sounds very untypical Honda, amazing to think a diesel engine can be reliable in saloon form , but not tourer

No no. ALL the n22 Diesel engines can suffer the engine faults. Even in the CRV we get these problems :? It doesn't seem to matter what age n22 either, as the differ from early ones.If your clutch feels good and the exhaust manifold has already been done then don't worry ;). It's a lovely Accord you have there :) :D

If both the tourer and saloon 2.2 diesel is not as robust as reputed, long live my B20A7 3g 'lude
