Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking around for a while now making the odd random post so thought it was about time I showed what I have been upto...

Project started out as an automatic civic EK3 that I bought just for being a relatively rust free shell...by the time i'd found and fitted the suspension I wanted, rust started showing here and there....

What I had always wanted was a genuine prefacelift civic EK9, but knew if I got one I'd want to keep it fairly original....which also meant I might get bored with it. Anyway, after the EK3 started to look a little sorry for itself I discovered an EK9 rolling shell at the right sort of money, and then prompty missed out on it to someone else. That was it though I had already convinced myself it was the right way to go so went about finding another one....without the original engine and as it was destined to be broken for parts I figured I could pretty much create the car however I liked without feeling too guilty for messing about with an original EK9.....how it arrived:

So the shell was generally pretty grubby, but solid....figured a good clean up and I'd be ready to get started on the engine side of things.

Thought I'd take the chance to really clean up the engine bay...this didnt go quite as planned...and quickly escalated on from the intended simple clean up...(excuse the lights in the first pic :) )

Tons of work. Well done - I wish I had that patience for bodywork, but alas, no-where near  Point and pay is the only way for me (which is why not much ever gets done - it's expensive stuff!)

Thanks for the comments, it's been a lot of hard work. Got a few more updates to post but as usual have very little time but will get them up when I can.

Sorry to all the purists out there but I'm not sourcing a B16b to go back in there, the ek9 has also always been one of my all time favourites but untill I grow out off messing about with cars (evidence so far suggests never ;) ) an original 'standard' ek9 was never going to keep me happy hence why I went down the route of rescuing one that was being broken for parts.
