Having exhausted (what I thought to be) everything obvious in relation to my sudden non starting issue I have given up and yesterday hired another transporter and dropped the car off ready for someone sensible to take a look at it...

Rich - has already been on the phone this morning and has the car up and running...seems a bit of the distributor wiring got pinched in between the engine and gearbox when the second gearbox went on

As usual with this project everything has happened at the wrong time so rather than take the car back to Rich later as originally planned I'm going to leave it with him to do a couple of things now instead....... :)

Don't worry, most of use have been there and done something similar. When I/we built my track car we accidentally lubed the clutch pressure plate bolts so after 1000 miles they had rattled themselves loose  It took us about 20 hours to fix that mistake.

Will post a better update soon but I picked the car back up from Rich yesterday afternoon.....

:D

Really really pleased I decided to hand it over, Rich has done a fantastic job. I wouldn't hesitate to take the car there again and highly recommend them, car is running perfectly, drives really nice, can't wait to get on and finish the next few bits but for now I'm so pleased to actually be driving the thing

Excellent - Really pleased to hear it's now driveable and you can start to enjoy it! :D

Shouldn't underestimate the great work you've done yourself up to this point, btw!
