The way every other tcs system that I'm aware of works - by altering the fuel and ignition to the engine (things the ecu already has full control over) or by having a drive by wire throttle, meaning it only needed to have one throttle body...

it was put on as a system many years after production began. Maybe a solid state realtime system was the better choice for a retro fit?

I know from driving it it feels quite soft and non invasive. Not at all like the electronic systems I have driven. it just kinda feathers the throttle a bit to bring you into line rather than cutting fuel or something else that is likely to affect the balance of the car while driving hard.
Yes its another throttle body but its a more natural way to control the engine imho. More like to leave you with a smile because you just had fun that a grimace because you just got shut down by a computer.
The e36 is not flybywire, that dubious addition was on the e46.

needless to say with an LSD it spends all of its time turned off but when its on its nicer from a drivers point of view than the electronic systems.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

After a late night Friday/Saturday Morning managed to get the car into a driftable state

Image

First shake down went pretty well. It's still on stock lock and running the 328 diff as we couldn't get a drive shaft out to swap a lower ratio diff in.

Struggled a bit not having a handbrake as I've been so used to being able to cheat with one, and need to swap out the diff before the next day as it was just a bit long and needs the power sooner

No, will be fitting one as soon as I can. Makes it much easier and helps if you have to change your line to avoid someone who's spun

Small update, car now has a hydro, I still suck at drifting but the car is still straight

Image

Been running pretty much a standard car, about to add some lock mods, which means I can't use the excuse of "no lock" when I spin

I'm not very good a drifting but I just enjoy it and always have a smile on my face even if I spin

Sooo, the car is no longer straight
I messed up and span with 3 cars close behind me, the first two missed me but the third had no chance to avoid me

Was a pretty hard hit, snapped the coilover in half and punched it into the engine bay, bent the strut top, lower arm and even the hub and needs a new wing, indicator and bumper.

Until I repair it I can't see what else is bent but to bend a cast hub is doing something so subframe or steering rack or worse could be on the cards.

Was going really well until that point, but that's drifting if your gonna have people close to you
