The new tow truck, Trooper

Well here she is. My 2 ton tank. Got myself a Isuzu Trooper. Didn't pay much for it as when I picked it up it was in a bit of a state. I had to fix it before I drove it home from Kidderminster

So it's a 2001 LWB 3.0 TDi pretty basic spec :? has the legendary and somewhat troublesome 4JX1 engine. So went to pick it up. Had a good look around it and a drive. Almost walked away from it but last min decision decided to take it home. Had to put a bolt in the steering column as it was loose, but apart from that, an check engine light on and the 4 wheel drive light flashing, it wasn't that bad  . Noticed that it had just been serviced. Had new brakes, calipers and new exhaust system. Drive home used around £20 of diesel in around 112 miles :? And was somewhat funny on the throttle.

Anyway, MIL light turns out to be the common throttle body position sensor. The 4wheel drive light turned out to be a vac feed pipe had come off from the front axel actuator. £10 on a set of wipers so far

Must say that it's a dream to drive compared to my loud, harsh civic. Plan is to just fix it up, make sure everything works and is sound. Then tow the lude to track days and events. Few pics for now. Cheers chaps. :D :D :D

I like. Though I would prob go for the older shape and engine and I will be getting the Rodeo as I think a pickup will do me better than a cab.

Good skills 8-)

Yup. I would of got a rodeo if it wasn't for the fact I need a boot I can access from the front
The rodeo is a great pickup mate. ;)

I like it so far. Big and bad ass. Can't wait to give it a go off road 8-) 8-)

Nice buy there mate, bet it shifts a bit quicker than my 3.1. Is it manual or auto?

One of my favourite things about these is the driving position - until you get behind the wheel of one you don't realise how high up you are, it gives you a good view of the traffic ahead. I almost feel like I'm driving blind when I get in to 'normal' cars now

Best of luck with it mate :)
