Rob's 2007 Limited Edition RX8 Nemisis.
Thought I'd better post this up. Bought this limited edition RX8 Nemisis, copper red with light cream interior. One of only 200 built! The car has full service history and is really clean for the year! Current mileage is 50,100.

Re: Rob's 2007 Limited Edition RX8 Nemisis.
Since owning it I've:
Fitted new license plates the other day, as the old ones were tatty (no pics yet).
Done an oil change.
Polished/ restored the headlights, as they had yellowed a bit.
I've also bought a stainless steel decat and exhaust for it, that will be fitted next week.
How it compare to the lude? Definitely quicker/ torquier, feels so much more alive and nimble. Plus more fun with it being RWD. The interior is superb, has everything. Hose sound system, 6 CD changer, MP3 connectivity, electric heated seats, parking sensors, A/C.... The sound it makes is emense, like nothing else.
I'm well chuffed with it, probably the best car I've owned. Even more fun to drive than my R34 I had. What you read online is all bull. As long as you buy a rotary that's had all the maintenence it's needed, you're fine. Oil consumption? I honestly don't have to top it up anymore than my lude.

I had a 231 in velocity red. Bought it with 60k on the clock and sold it with 100k. Hadn't had a rebuild at all in that time. Keep an eye on the coil packs as they have a tendency to split and lose their Insulating properties. That's the only issue I had with mine. Fantastic car to drive but the only reason I sold it was I was doing a lot of miles commuting and it was crippling us on fuel.

looks to be about the same cabin size as the lude and it has a "sex-blocker"
looks very clean
they do seem to be very good value second hand buys - only down side i heard of was fuel and insurance costs could be high.

Yeah, I did tons of research before I started to look. Mine had new coil packs, plugs and leads a few weeks before I bought it.ek9sid wrote:I had a 231 in velocity red. They tend to be looked after more so than the RX7 so they are great value and nearly always are close to mint paintwise

Paint wise they tend to rust in all 4 arches and around the 3rd brake light. I believe yours is a 192? 5 speed, lower rev limit, non hid headlights. Still a cracking motor. Saw one in this colour a few months after I sold mine. Made me want to buy it ha ha.
Glad to hear you did your research. I bought mine off a whim and was very fortunate. Mine had rusty arches and 3rd brake light and the headlight levelling sensor had failed when I got it which wasn't an issue for me. But started miss-firing not long after I bought it. Luckily a close friend of mine is a huge Wankel fan so sorted me out nicely with a deep (lol) service. Compression tested it and it was giving good compression so was extremely fortunate

Yeah mines a 192, but there's only 10whp difference between this and the 231, but the 192 has more mid range torque.
