Got a new boot leak myself. When I get around to it I'm going to try the old talcum power trick ;)

It's not the cleanest method, but rub a little talc all around the area and it'll show you exactly where the water is tracking in.

Been giving the car a right proper going over, clay bar etc, still have the bonnet, front wings and mirrors to do. Front bumper and side-skirts wont be getting touched as they are eventually going to be painted as there not so good. Rest of the car come up amazing! Rear lip is also to be reattached.

Struggling to remove the old sticky stuff from the Torneo and the Euro-r badge at the rear tho. Euro-r badge will be going back on.

Also made a start on the under-sealing when the rear bumper was off. ;)

Looks awesome

Torque wrench settings for those engine bits should be the same as a lude, so will be in the oem service manual?

Rear discs/pads

Post by newkid » Tue May 01, 2018 4:19 pm

Sorry for pointless post it's just so I have some reference to what's been done.

Changed rear discs and pads for blueprint ones since I wasn't sure how long they had been on for. Pedals alot better. Main advantage is it takes ep3 rear discs/pads so plenty off options available.

Will add pic in a bit
