there is nothing wrong with alfa reliability matey the engines run and run the chassis are great they have a rep for rust but tbh they are no worse than honda's the 2 litre is the one to get though its detuned so as not to embarress v6 owners

Yeh my dad's a big fan of alfas so iv learned a bit about them through the years and at 100 pound I can't lose really
I hit the limiter in my h23 vtec still didn't kick in

I'm by no means an Afra expert, but after reading this thread I decided to give TUV ratings a look...
There are only 4 alfas there: 145, 147, 156, and 159 and they are all awful in terms of reliability according to these ratings.

i had loads of alfa's from suds to a 164 never had an electrical problem but a lot of fiats have electrical problems and i think its where parts are used from there bin so the alfa's that share components are the unlucky ones
