project go slow

So after a deal with my brother i am now doing a Vag project and i picked this 6n2 1.4 16v polo up (off him) for 200 pound with MOT and tax till feb next year so i cant complain about the price what i can complain about however are the engine (runs sweet but sooo slow) the brakes and the hella bodyroll i have a few plans but il just see how it turns out here are a few pics

Sweet deal. I've just got a 6n 1.0l, dam it's slow ha

How's the gearbox on yours? Reading about it the 1.4 seems to suffer the most with bearings.

yeh im pretty happy with the pice tbh and gearbox seems great but it will be getting a new engine and gearbox soon anyway something abit bigger but coilovers are the first order of the day then wheels so need to get searching

That is a wee bargain. These would normally fetch around £1k.

I had a Gti 6n2. Was alright actually, but even that was slow for having 125bhp. Wouldn't even class is as nippy.

Damn, I could do with a cheap run around for that price!!

With the engine swap are you going to stick with VAG or go with something else?
