Ever wondered what happens when you're going flat out
& your outer CV joint gives up?

Offt! At least you were on a straight. I had the same experience when one of my ones went, just about threw me off the track.

Luckily none of the supercars that were on track were overtaking
me at the time. Side-swiping one of the McLarens would have
proved expensive

Ouch, that's a nightmare!
Had you replaced the joint after the liquid grease moment, or just cleaned and regressed the existing?

I just cleaned it & regreased it as it was working without any issues

Nice vids bud. I love how this thing sounds 8-) 8-) This is something I'm always worried about is CV's giving up on track. Thrashing the hell out of 23 year old CV joints worries me slightly

Thanks! It sounds even better from the outside - I'll try & get
a drive-by video. Also, it's amazing how many people have a
soft spot for Crx's & come over for a chat.

I've found a Blueprint cv joint kit for £25. I may do the o/s
one as well for peace of mind :)

Finally got the crx back out on track after
what seemed like a really long winter.

Only good thing in between was getting really
lucky with the snow on a short ski trip to
visit a friend. He's a short video he took:

Anyway, I changed the worn cv joint & the
car handled really well on track. However, I
noticed that it's still pulling left.

Rich at PAW reckons that it's a geo issue or tyres. I've tried swapping tyres around but
it still pulls left. So I've booked it in at
Hangar 111 who are local & have a good
reputation: http://www.hangar111.com

Not very exciting video but the Rover is
owned by a guy I know:

There were 6 or 7 tuned Gtr's on track
including this with 1000bhp!

My r888's are now passed their best but
still gripped amazingly well

Final bit of car news is that an old codger
decided to use the rear of my integra to
stop his car. He said that he had been
distracted

Sad to hear the Teg had suffered a knock, good thing that it is all repaired now!
