OK, I think I've got it, but I'm just getting my dad to check it over first.

Beware, it involves a total of 7 relays, as 2 of the wires from ignition need to turn off when starter is pressed ;)

Wow I didn't think it would be that involved. I was only told ill need 1 relay max..
I was just thinking it was basically the same as extending the original wiring and using the flip switch as a brake for the original 12v+.

I no the flip switch iv got is heavy duty and can take 25a at 12v

Iv been given other diagrams like this

"""The BATTERY supply is a WHITE wire, the first selection is to a WHITE/BLACK wire for the radio, then the IGNITION circuits (10 wires) are WHITE & WHITE/YELLOW, the STARTER wire is BLACK/WHITE this goes to a relay in the Honda fuse/relay box and then that powers the starter solenoid

So transpose those colours to the ones in my first diagram, then the car will totally power up when the POWER switch is ON & the STARTER will engage when the START button is pushed, then you have to decide if you want the warning light on the panel to be either a POWER ON or STARTER ENGAGED?? personally I'd go for the STARTER, after all the dash will be alight when the power switch is on.""""

There are 2 problems though.

1st: The panel you have is designed for the switch to kill power just to the starter circuit, not the entire vehicle electrics as you're planning.

2nd: 2 of the circuits actually disconnect when you engage the starter, so you need to use relays to accomplish this also.

Here is the ignition switch from the Prelude wiring diagram:

As you can see, the WHT-BLK and YEL wires don't have any contact from the 3rd (starter) pin.

Could I not put in another switch to power the rest?

What if I wired ir like that put a switch between the black wire with white tracer to the wire I need to power it all?? But what wire would that be??

Chill out dude!

Once my dad comes back to me I'll post it here. 7 relays sounds a lot, but it's actually relatively simple.

Also, on the panel you've got, does the switch stay in the "ON" position with the red cover closed?

Thanks buddy..

When the switch is down it is off, up is on.

Would you think having a different switch to power the rest is the best way to do it?? Then have the panel switch to power the push button?

....and when the switch is up in the "on" position, can you close the red cover on top?!

If not, I'd probably recommend using it to kill the starter signal, and using a separate switch to turn on the main power.

Just so you get an idea of what I'm getting at, here's my current diagram, the lamp will be on when ignition is on as I don't see the point of it lighting when you press the start button!

PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS AS 100% AT THE MOMENT - I'll confirm once my dad's checked it, but he's been doing electronics for over 30 years so will correct me quite quickly if it's wrong!
