no! true jdm bb4 are the poorest on extras as they have none unless the jap guy pays extra :lol:

Nothing in it for me. My JDM 2.2 SiR is only £60 more a year than my old 2.0 UKDM Prelude.

I seem to get JDM raped. I think it is because the JDM versions have more power. Under the old insurance groups UK 2.2 VTEC's were a group 17 (the 185bhp engines) JDM cars and the UK H22a8 were group 18 (197+ bhp engines).

Also historically (and still partly true) parts for imports can be different and harder/more expensive to source for a repairer (paid for by the insurer). E.g. rear bumper for a jdm 5th gen etc

But probably mostly... Because they can!
