Okay I just thought I would ask just in case ;) :P

Like the time I thought that the red key I have looked fancy and would be cool to use... good job I googled first!

My Red key is still in the packet attached to my spare key. I needed the spare for some reason I can't remember and shoved it in the ignition with the red key attached. Realised what I was doing just before I started it

Just wanted to say thanks for this. After 2 years my 4WS is working again without doing anything more than the reset.

My laziness in getting the bulb replaced stopped me getting it done before.

She's like a different car altogether now :)

Adding my thanks for this thread as well. 4x4 with tow bar reversed out of a parking spot as I was passing and clipped the rear near wheel, panel and took the rear bumper off. Nice!

I was afraid the 4WS light might mean big trouble, but this little tip got it sorted at the second time of asking.

Kudos

My 4WS isn't working & there is no warning light :?

Why they changed from mechanical to electric I have no idea, my 22 year old 3rd gen has never had a problem. The 2 electric systems that I've had have both been ******.

The bulb was probably removed by the previous owner. This makes me mad as hell! :troll:
Instead of fixing it, they just hide the problem. :lecture:

Hide the problem and create a deathtrap! Be careful on those fast corners
Looking for a BB1, know of one for sale?
