How to: Repair your 5th gen Cup Holder

I don't know how common a problem this is, but my 5th gen's cup holder no longer clicked into location when I slid it into the middle. So I removed the slider...
And after taking it apart I could see that both the tabs had broken off (Should be in the larger holes)...
Here you can see the grooves and the notches for where the slider should click into place...
So my solution...
Two of my girlfriend's old hair clips (Pretty standard ones) with the ends trimmed off, prised apart slightly and the ends turned in...
The bottom end was turned up to part secure it in place. They're fractionally wider than the smaller slots, so it's a case of inserting them at 90 degrees and by turning them back 90 degrees they cut in and stay...
As you turn them back that 90 degrees you have to flex the other end of the clip through the larger slot. (These images should also give you an idea of the length they need to be)...
Then it's a case of offering the slider up (Only one clip is show here, but obviously you need both loaded)...
Then just before the clips enter the grooves, you obviously need to hold them down and guide them in...
Once the ends are in it's simply a case of sliding the slider in...
You may want to play about with the tension on the clip, but other than that you're done!
