Well isnt it about time one of you young whipper snappers showed us old bastards how to use a tablet to its full potential? :geek: :ugeek:
Ive bought a samsung galaxy tab 3 and although I have a galaxy s3 phone ive never bothered with all the tec shiz on it because my fat fingers had trouble grabbing what I wanted. Just wondered if its all as easy as a pc when you know what your doing.

Tablets are basically big smartphones (without the 'phone' bit), @Ted.. ideal for people who's fingers are too fat for phones  most of everything you do on the phone can be replicated on the tablet, but they are in no way a laptop replacement, unless you only use your laptop for web browsing, pictures and Angry Birds.

So, if you can use a smartphone, especially a Samsung, then you should have no probs with the Samsung tab.

I hate a laptop and the mrs wont have a pc in the living room ffor some bizarre reason, we still have a laptop and then there is my laptop which is windows xp so now defunct really. It was a toss up between buying a new laptop or a tablet and the tablet won. I have learnt a bit about it already so it should be ok I just seem to make a lot of spelling mistakes on my phone but hopefully thats just down to fatfingersyndrome and predictive bollox

Android is not as user friendly as iOS, however once you get used to it and where everything is, it performs much better.

What is it you are trying to do? May be a start on trying to help you achieve your goal with the unit.

If just trying to browse the net, open up your browser and type the address in!

If trying to root the device and install a custom ROM, that's a little bit more involved!

When I rooted my phone it was very simple.

Plug it in, click go and jobby myself for the next 5 mins.

Just simple things like copy and paste, I copied and pasted a partial qoute on here yesterday but the photo which I also highlighted didn't come out for some reason.
Dont even know what rooting is, is it some kind of laxative ?

I gave my mum my laptop 2 weeks ago thinking I could just use a tablet but using it for this forum is driving me round the effing bend. :troll:
