IDLE REV PROBLEM

Post by jdmdanbb6bb4 » Sun Jul 31, 2016 5:45 pm

Well this DIY i did it long time ago in another forum that i was in at the time, this will be the reference guide
http://www.foroshonda.com/index.php?thr ... narlo.566/
This was made in spanish so if you understand great :D if not i will put it on english.

Hope this help to everyone with issues with the IDLE

The issue with the IDLE might be cause by 3 main parts and the 4th is going to electronic.

1st. FITV
2nd. IAC and THROTTLE BODY
3rd. MAP
4th. ICM (Do to it send the signal to theTach) this is only the last option

TOOLS THAT WILL BE NEEDED:

1. Phillips Screwdriver
2. Flat Head Screwdriver
3. Rachet with 8,10 and 12 sockets
4. Pliers
5. CarbChoke Cleaner
6. Contact Cleaner

To start doing this the engine must be cold to work with. The time that will take you to do this with patience is 1 hour or less.

So for the IAC i used the CarbChoke Cleaners First

The IAC has 2, 12mm bolts and here is where you going to need the Pliers to remove the clamps that are attach with the IAC that are 2

The areas that you will used the carbchoke are marked, just let it dry

Then the MAP sensor

In these hole is where you are going to uses the Contact Cleaner

Here you have the Throttle Body with the FITV
Image

Reason why you have to clean the MAP with the Contact Cleaner as you can see the MAP goes on top the Throttle Body and its behind so when you hit the gas pedal the chamber open and the air through, but also some of the gunk that has accumulated

Here you have also to used the Pliers and the 10mm sockets

When you have remove the FITV from its place you will see this part

Here you have to used the Phillips screwdriver or the 8mm socket
Image

when you have remove the top cover you will see this, here is where you have to used the Flat Head screwdriver
Image

Normaly with time it get loose so that is why the IDLE starts to give you problems and will look like this when you take it out to clean it up

Image

Image

here you have it all disarmed to clean it up with the carbchoke

Image

Evreything Cleand up and put back together

Image

Then again going back to the FITV all cleand up and tight the piece good all the way, so it wouldnt be loose again

Image

And then you go all backwards to put everything back together

Hope this helps :D
