Cruise Control ECU - Manual vs Auto

Need a bit of info about 5th Gen Cruise Control ECU's.

Refitted original steering wheel and although everything seems to be in place the CC won't operate.

Thinking about changing the ecu as a first step.

Does the ECU differ on Manual and Auto boxes?

If so, does any one know the correct part number for a manual gearbox version.

Check the killswitches on the pedals as a 1st port of call? Or you may have to rewire a switch as there is an extra killswitch on a manual for the clutch
