5th Gen -Finding and setting up a new remote fob

My Red auto 5th gen only has one Honda central locking remote fob.

I need to set up a spare, so the question is where can I get a suitable new fob, and having got one how easy is it to programme the new fob?

Hope someone can help!

+1 on this, I am also interested.
I had a spare civic ep2 one that looked identical but would not program. I assume being a newer model fob. That stopped me from getting a knock off from ebay in case it was the wrong model (although identical exterior).

The programming procedure is easy in itself. It is a sequence of button presses done using the fob and ignition but can't remember exactly how...

I'm pretty sure I have a spare somewhere from one of my breakers, I'm in Chester currently but driving back down south home tonight.

I'll have a look tomorrow for it.

Hey I can only look my door manually but I've just remembered an old key and remote from my Prelude of 8 years back - can that remote be programmed in some way for my existing key?

Where can I find the part number for the fob??

Plenty of so called compatible fobs available but knowing original part number will reduce risk of buying a wrongun!

Help!!

Pete pm me your address. I have some old fobs from 5th gens. I'll send you one. The above guide works as I reprogrammed these. The guide also works on accords of same time. Used it to reprogram my cl1.
