Im in process of stripping a 5th gen manual (BB8/H22A8) that is going to the crusher and have the opportunity to get all parts needed for an auto to manual conversion. Parts are for possible conversion to BB6/H22A Sir.
Does anyone have a list of parts that is needed for this? This would be a great help and ensure i don't miss anything out.

Here is what i have so far:

From Manual Prelude:

Speedo/Rev Counter Dials
Centre console
Starter motor
Gearbox
Gearstick and base
H22A8 ECU

Still to get:

Gearshift linkages
Driveshafts inc. intermediate shaft
Drivers side engine mount/gearbox mount
pedals/pedal box

Plus anything else i may need - TBC any input welcome

Also looking for any tips on removing the pedals/pedal box
:)

cheers ek9sid

i have flywheel and clutch reservoir, slave and lines from a 4th gen and bnib clutch mc again for a 4th gen - hope they will fit a 5th gen dont see any reason why they should not. i had a 2nd hand 5th gen clutch 3pc assembly but must have binned it....will prob go for a new oem atr clutch kit as that works well on all 4th gens i have had.

I also seem to remember somewhere that you need to do something with the park switch wiring, so that it tricks the ecu into thinking its in park allowing you to start the engine.

EDIT: Just seen you have another ecu so may not have to do that.

Isn't there a reinforment plate for the clutch m/c needed for 5th gen conversions?

Yeah, clutch pedal needs to be braced well on the upper side. But I think it doesn't need a special reinforcement plate, just a nut and washer should do it.

On an unrelated matter - vanzep - I've been looking for a switch for the front fog lights for about 2 years now with no success. Would you mind checking if the donor car has one and we can work out something?

I assume you're taking the engine loom with the donor engine as well? (this will avoid any faff with sorting the reverse switch wiring)
