i did this today on my car and it solved my problem with the idle going up and down between 750rpm-1500rpm. thank you !

like GMJ says around 30 mins and you dont lose a lot of coolant but always a good idea to have some handy just in case ;)

I changed my FITV this weekend, as the previous install I did I tightening the cap all the way down.

This time I have unscrewed it 3 times and idles much better now.

However, every now and then I will stop and press the clutch in and it will start to bounce again. I know the FITV is not faulty as I have tried two known working ones and they both do they same.

Do you reckon I need to bleed the system of air?

You may need to clean your IACV. The IACV controls idle when the engine is warm.
