One thing that has always bothered me with the Lude, is that you can't see anything in the spare wheel well because the cover covers the light when you lift it up.
Do you foresee this modification rectifying this problem?

As I'm stealing this idea, I'm thinking of mounting one of the strips on the bottom of the parcel shelf, and the other on the inside of the boot lid (on the vertical section). Will light the ground at the back of the lude etc, and hopefully the wheel well.

However, as these are mounted on the same surface as the OEM light, I would have thought they still suffer from the same problem.
Going on what indigo has said, he may be onto something, mounting one on the inside of the boot lid.
Did you just wire these into the existing boot light circuit, or come up with something outrageously fancy?
